Jim Shannon MP for Strangford has welcomed the Ulster Scots Agency to Westminster. The  numbers of MP’s and Peers who attended the event were over fifty.
he said: “On show was the music of the Ulster Scots, soda bread, Ulster Scots dancers, the pipe, fiddle and the flute and as we say ‘the craic was good’.
“The Secretary of State Teresa Villiers and Shadow Minister Ivan Lewis were both there to lend their support. I particularly enjoyed the dancers who were young ladies with tremendous talent and entertaining us all with our traditional dance and music.
“To highlight our Ulster Scots culture at Westminster is always a pleasurable event, Â and the showcase of all that it stands for was appreciated by many people not of our Ulster Scots tradition and culture, but they all said they enjoyed it immensely.”
