Preparations are already at an advanced stage for the annual FAMILY FUN DAY at Downpatrick Racecourse on Monday 14 July.
The Jumping Leprechauns, popular last year, will again be in actions in the paddock jumping fences in excess of the fences tackled by their equine counterparts on the course writes Joe Kavanagh.
Racing for children which again was very popular last year will be staged with the 8–12 year old over 120 yards on the course and the under sevens and toddlers Derby in the paddock.
Miniature pony racing will have two divisions namely the Bronte Sisters and One Direction.
A fun fair, Fashion in the Field, Cartoon Characters plus a photographic “Selfie” competition are just a few of the additional attractions.
Matthew Campbell will perform on the new stage arena area while DOWNPATRICKS GOT TALENT for children will also feature.
