Night of the Races
The Club will be hosting a fund raising Night of the Races in the Heights Bar, Ardglass, this Saturday 9pm to late, for the first time ever there will be both Horse and Greyhound races to bet on so come along and support the club and have a fantastic night’s entertainment and craic.
Games Update
Ardglass 0-10 St John Bosco 1-13 // Atticall 2-14 Ardglass 0-14
The seniors lost two games over Easter, to strong South Down opposition. In the first game Ardglass played some really exciting fast counter attacking football against Bosco, culminating in some fine scores from Stephen Rooney and Sean Paul Halpin, However they failed to score in the final 15 minutes of the game and Bosco scored 1-6 with out reply to close the game out.
In the second game away to Atticall on Easter Sunday the game was nip and tuck throughout, only for the Mourne side to score two sucker punch goals that proved the difference on the day. Next game home to Carryduff on Thursday 28th @ 7pm
Under-8 Blitz
Ardtole hosted its first ever U-8 blitz on Easter Saturday, with Ballykinlar and Teconnaught the guests of the host team.Over the two hours there was some fine skills of the game demonstrated by all three sides. Ardglass used there full panel of 16 players throughout the day with James Crangle, Ryan Cusack, Abbey Byrne, Miceal Fitzsimmons and Dara O’Shea performing well in all games.
A special thanks to Marieanne, Gemma and Tina in helping providing the pre match food and treats, and also with the big clean up.

U-8 training continues on Saturdays 10.20-11.30am.
As the numbers increase week on week for the Under-8’s, Paul and DJ require more help with coaching the kids, if anyone has a spare hour on Saturday morning please let us know.
U-14 Ardglass 0-13 Kilclief 2-6
Ardglass secured their first win of the season in a tight and entertaining mini-derby with near neighbours Kilclief. The home side probably should have won by more as they higher percentage of possession throughout the game, but Kilclief caught Ardglass with two quick fire goals in the first half to go in the break four points up. They added three further points at the start of the second period, although these where to be there last scores of the game as Ardglass scored 0-8 without reply.
Second half-substitute Jamie Cusack scored 0-4 from play while his cousin Ronan Crangle popped up from the half-back line to score the winner. While Harry Og Walsh could have sealed the victory with a pile driver from 20 yards which the keeper pushed on the crossbar.
This was an overall good team performance, with Luke Mulhall steady in goals and varying his kickouts to great success, while in defence Darren Ross, Ronan Crangle and Jason Curran displayed skill and athleticism while attacking and defending in equal measure. In the forward line Raymond Lundy, Charlie Gower and Fionn McGirr showed great heart and determination when faced with bigger opponents, Full forward Callum Costello showed his worth again, scoring 0-5 (3fs) and was assisted by Caolan O’Shea 0-2, next game away to Dromara on Friday, players to be at the Heights’ Corner for 6pm.

Ardglass Minors 1-5 St Paul’s 2-13
Ardglass lost their first game of the season in the new all county Minor league last Tuesday, in a game where the well organised and committed St Paul’s team dominated. Ardglass battled valiantly to stop the tide. Davy Armstrong, Shane Teggart and Aidy Finnegan battled well throughout and where assisted by Owen Curran and Peter O’Shea.. next game away to Clann Na Banna on 26
