Newry & Mourne and Down Community Information and Networking Event
Date: Wednesday 1st October 2014 Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm (buffet included) Venue: The Burrendale Hotel, Newcastle
This event is for all local community and voluntary groups, elected representatives and public agencies in the Newry, Mourne and Down Council area. The event aims to raise awareness among the Community & Voluntary sector of the imminent establishment of the Newry & Mourne and Down District Council and will include the opportunity to:
* Â Learn about the New Council
* Â Have your say on a name and identity for your New Council
* Â Contribute towards the development of a Corporate Plan for the New Council
* Â Learn about Community Planning and the new powers and responsibilities of the New Council
* Â Meet representatives of the New Council and your local community
