Saintfield is in for big spring clean.
A spokesperson for Saintfield Development Association said that “the SDA in conjunction with the “Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful” initiative, are organising a Big Spring Clean event in the village on Saturday 26 April from 10. am until noon.
“The briefing to participants will be held at 9.30am outside the Guild Hall of the First Presbyterian Church on Main Street when gloves, litter pickers, litter bags and hi–visibility vests will be given out to those taking part.
“The volunteers will be allocated areas of the village to clean up and a vehicle will circulate at regular intervals to collect any full litter bags.
“Following the clean-up, the volunteers will then meet up at noon at the Second Presbyterian Church hall at Fair Green for tea and debriefing.
“All Saintfield residents are invited to take part in this community initiative and may just turn up at the venue at the time stated above. A clean village makes for a better place to live and visit.”
