“We hope our donation will tangibly help these renowned researchers in their quest to find cures to help anyone who has these forms of blood cancer, and raise awareness of the vital work the they continue to do – which means lot to our group and its donors who especially wish to help L & L NI. And we would like to thank an extremely kind-hearted gentleman and his family and friends for helping us to do so.
Claire Atchison on behalf of Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI added: “I would like to thank the Donard Fundraising Group for its extremely kind and wonderful donation of $5,000. This donation is deeply appreciated and will really help us to continue supporting life-saving research taking place in Northern Ireland.
“Our charity is the only one in NI which is dedicated to funding this important research into leukaemia, lymphoma and associated blood cancers. A person can be diagnosed with a blood cancer at any age, although these blood cancer diseases affect more adults than children, and can be harder to treat in older people.
“With the help from our supporters, we aim to ensure in the future people of these diseases survive leukaemia, lymphoma and blood cancers. With the the help of the Donard Fundraising Group, we are that one step closer.”
