COUNCILLOR Eamonn ONeill has welcomed the recent re-designation of Clarmont Avenue in Castlewellan as an Alcohol Bye-Law area.
He said: “Following representations to Down District Council after the illegal removal of the previous signs, I am pleased that Clarmont Avenue in Castlewellan has been re-designated as an Alcohol Bye-Law area. “The residents in this area had been tortured with the young, and not so young, drinking and littering with broken glass being a big problem. “I hope that these signs bring some relief to the residents and that those utilising the back way respect the local residents by adhering to these signs.”]]>
