Ceili Classes Now Available for Carers

CARERS can now learn a dance a few new steps as they move into 2013.

The South Eastern Health & Social Care Trustxa0is now running Ceili Dance Classes that are available for anyone who looks after a family member or friend. These classes are aimed at those who wish to learn ceili dancing and is for complete beginners or for those who may have danced before and wish to brush up on their ceili dancing skills.

The class will be taught in an informal, participative way by Claire Hughes. At the end of the course the learners will know the basic steps for ceili dancing and will be able to dance six ceili dances. Stamina, fitness and coordination will improve through this dancing.

The weekly class commences on Tuesday 15 January 2013 from 7.00pm – 8.00pm at Lisburn Racquets Club, 36 Belfast Road, Lisburn, BT27 4AS. These will be held every Tuesday evening.

FREE parking is available on site and you do not need to have a partner to join in. Any carer is welcome.
