DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Windmill Gardens area of Ballynahinch during the early hours of the morning, Saturday 18th August.
Shortly after 4am police attended a report of a man being assaulted in the Windmill Gardens area. A 21-year old man received two slash wounds to his back and bruising to his body and a 20-year old man received a slash wound to the back of his head, a suspected broken nose and bruising to his face and body. Both men were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Four males aged 21, 20, 19 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the incident. They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
