Registration for this season is on Sunday 3rd February from 12 noon until 3pm. All those seeking to play or renew their membership for the year ahead should be there. It is essential that we complete the registration process at this time to ensure we are ready for the new season writes Mark McGrath.
Everyone enjoyed the annual juvenile presentations in the Hall last Saturday. Down star Dan Gordon awarded the prizes and answered a few questions from the boys and girls. Pride of place went to the U-16 girls who won their league again and of course the U-14 boys who annexed a League and Championship double. Club chairman Brendan Mullen spoke to those present about the importance of being an active member of the club and the more effort put in would lead to more enjoyment for everyone.
Thanks to everyone who came along and to those who helped out in any way to ensure that the occasion ran smoothly and especially to Dan Gordon for coming straight to Saul from County training in Newry. It was very much appreciated.
Our coaching for children is on every Thursday evening in the Hall. P1 & P2 children are welcome from 6:30-7:10pm and P3 & P4 children from 7:15-8:00pm. All the boys and girls should have their own named water bottle and wear appropriate clothing. P5-P7 boys is on Saturday from 10 – 11am in the Hall. Again the boys require their own water bottle. Girls training is on from 11am-12pm.
U-14 and U-16 boys training begins this Friday (1st Feb) ay 4.30pm sharp at the Red High 3G pitch. All players expected to attend and new recruits are more than welcome.
Each session costs £2 per child (£4 max per family) and all monies go towards the purchase of equipment solely for use with these age groups.
