AGM: A large crowd attended our Annual General Meeting last Thursday night. Paul Fitzsimons delivered a very comprehensive report that began by paying respects to our esteemed chairman Peter. 2012 has been a tribute year both on and off the field and everyone pulled together to fill the huge void left by his passing writes Mark McGrath.
Paul outlined another increase in membership and thanked the registrar for her efforts. Scór success was noted, as was the success of our football teams, especially the U-14 boys who secured a league and championship double. Paul finished by declaring his wish to step down from the role he has filled for the last few years, and wished his successor well. There was a large round of applause for not only the excellent report, but also the dedication which Paul has shown in his tenure as club secretary.
Acting Chair, Eddie Harney, also delivered a very comprehensive report and stated that it was one he would rather not have been making, but rather our past chairman, the late Peter Craig, had been there to deliver it. Eddie thanked all of those throughout the club who helped during the year, and also thanked the many sponsors who supported us in 2012.
The election of officers then took place and the committee for 2013 was elected as follows:
Chair: Brendan Mullen
Vice-Chair: Dr Eddie Harney
Secretary: Chris McLoughlin
Asst Sect: Donal O’Hagan

Club President Eddie McGrady welcomed all the returning committee members and especially those new members who he thanked for coming on board. He also praised everyone in the club for their efforts during 2012 and hoped that we could do even better in the new year. He believed that 2013 would be a tough year as there was so much planned and it would take all of our members to get involved.
