Three Local Singer/Songwriters Take To The Stage At Down Arts Centre
‘Songs from the Heart’, will provide a unique opportunity to see three of Northern Ireland’s leading singer/songwriters live on stage at the Down Arts Centre on Saturday 4 June at 8pm.
Local singers Brigid O’Neill, Amanda St John and Mandy Bingham will provide a relaxing evening filled with wonderful original songs.
Brigid, having just returned from Nashville, is still riding the crest of a wave following the release of her debut EP of original songs ‘Arrivals and Departures’. Brigid has also just released her new single ‘Don’t Make Me Go To Town’. She is our very own Downpatrick star and is a regular visitor and performer at Down Arts Centre.
Amanda St John has just released her long-awaited debut album “Grow” which has received rave reviews from fans and critics. Amanda’s work melds elements of soul, funk, blues and gospel music with a lean toward pop. Amanda has often been compared to Dusty Springfield and Paloma Faith but with music that has an original style that is entirely her own. Working on her album ‘Grow’ with great musicians such as Linley Hamilton, David Lyttle and Jon Tiven there is no doubt that her performance will surely be worth a listen.
Mandy Bingham is known for writing songs that can make a deep and lasting connection to the listener. She delivers them with a voice that is strong, pure and totally compelling.
Tickets cost £14 (£12 Concession) and can be booked by contacting the Down Arts Centre on 028 4461 0747.
