Sinn Féin deliver all-Ireland Halloween project says Ruane
A simultaneous fireworks extravaganza in Warrenpoint and Omeath is to take place said Cllr Mickey Ruane.
“I’m delighted to announce we have secured funding for a new firework display for Warrenpoint and Omeath.
“Working closely with Louth Cllr Antoin Watters, we looked to build upon the existing Halloween show that takes place in Warrenpoint every year.
“The display will take place at Warrenpoint break water and Omeath seafront, promising to be a spectacular show to the backdrop of the entire Carlingford Lough area.
“With the Narrow Water Bridge project now at advanced stage, it is important we look at ways to strengthen our all-island ties.
“This event will attract tourism, boost local business and grow our all island economy.
“Sinn Féin are delighted to get support from both Councils and will continue to work with Council and local community groups to turn this event into a bigger annual halloween event for both Warrenpoint and Omeath.
Cllr Antoin Watters added: “This will be great for both communities and I want to thank Omeath Tidy Towns and others for working with us to help deliver this halloween project.
“Sinn Féin will continue to work hard to deliver real change right across Ireland and look at ways to bring our communities together and allow them to enjoy the best of what our towns and villages have to offer.”
