Saintfield residents are invited to attend the annual general meeting of the Saintfield Development Association to be held at 7.30pm on Monday 12th June at The Hub, 35 Main Street, Saintfield.
The guest speaker will be Mark Conway, who works in business/management consultancy with the Venture Network.
Within Venture, Mark focuses on strategic and business planning across the public, private and voluntary/community sectors throughout the island of Ireland, working for clients in central and local government, community and economic development, education, EU programmes, health, housing, planning, social inclusion, sport/leisure, regeneration and tourism. Before his involvement in Venture, Mark worked in health and social care, University lecturing, housing and town and country planning.
Outside work he is/has been involved in a voluntary capacity with the GAA, the BBC, community development, heritage, rural development, social housing and third world support. He says that of these the GAA is by far the most important in his home (and heartland) in rural Kildress, County Tyrone.
