The Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme is a programme funded by DAERA through which rural community groups can apply for funding of up to £1500 (85% of project cost).
Applications run from 5 – 30 September 2016.
The aim of the programme is to tackle rural poverty and social isolation in the heart of the community through groups like yours.
Previously funded items have included; tables and chairs, crockery and kitchen-ware, dishwasher, new windows, cavity wall insulation, security doors, bowling mats, boxing mats, computers and laptops, printers, projector and screen, large TV monitor screen, installation or safety equipment to child play area, new flooring and much more.
County Down Rural Community Network is delivering this scheme on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for groups in Ards and North Down Borough Council area; Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area; and Lisburn and Castlereagh area.
