“We are delighted to support their development proposal for increased places to meet increasing demands for integrated education in the Saintfield area.
“I am a passionate advocate for inclusive education, and I know how transformative and powerful the impact of integrated schooling can be for everyone in our community.
“I believe that integrated schools are the best place to foster an environment where diversity is celebrated and mutual understanding flourishes, and I believe the Millennium IPS is a shining example of this.”
Councillor David Lee-Surginor added: “I am delighted that Millennium is pushing for expansion, and I want to view this as an opportunity to champion the success of integrated education, and push further for this increased provision.
“Normalising Millennium’s enrolment figures is a pivotal step towards breaking down barriers and promoting social cohesion.
“By integrating more pupils, we cultivate respect, empathy, and tolerance, preparing our future generations to thrive in a diverse society.
“Equally important is ensuring that all interested families in the Saintfield area have access to integrated education, that no child is denied the opportunity to benefit from an inclusive learning environment that values diversity and academic excellence.
“I look forward to working alongside Millennium to achieve these goals for the future.”
