The Rowallane DEA Forum Public Meeting will be taking on a festive twist on Friday 9 December 2016 from 7pm to 9pm in the Bridge Centre in Killyleagh.
The free event will welcome everyone to enjoy the Christmas themed activities whilst receiving helpful safety advice from a range of statutory and voluntary agencies. Seasonal refreshments will be available for everyone and children will enjoy taking part in the activities which include Christmas Crafts, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling and Bouncy Castle.
Councillor Robert Burgess, Chairperson of the DEA Forum said: “In Rowallane we thought it would be good to hold an event where people will have the opportunity to bring the whole family along to a community consultation evening with a fun element. I’ve spoken to Santa and he has confirmed that he will be welcoming families to his grotto on the night where they will get a free gift and photograph.”
Ellen Brennan, Rowallane DEA Coordinator added: “Consultation and participation of all residents from Rowallane is essential to our community planning process. On this occasion we have taken a different approach in the hope that a diverse range of new residents will be encouraged to come along and contribute positively to the area’s draft Community Plan.”
