RGU Notes For 19th August 2018

The Senior men bounced back from their disappointing championship loss to Glenn to win in convincing style against An Riocht on Thursday. Details of opponents in next round are not known at time of going to press but can be found on Facebook writes Collie Quinn.

The minors qualified for the quarter finals of their championship at the head of their group with a fine comeback victory away to Carryduff last Tuesday and now face Warrenpoint ( CPN) next Tuesday 28th at PTR.

Fresh from winning the East Down League the Under 16s start their championship on Thursday with an away trip to St Pauls in Hollywood.

The U-12 girls went to Bryansford and lost by a point in somewhat controversial circumstances on Thursday

The U-10’s and 8’s both enjoyed trips to Dromintee at the weekend and despite not taking home any silverware they had a great experience playing teams from all over Ulster Leinster

Our Development Draw was held on Sunday Night prizes were as follows

We are saddened by the recent death of Tommy Creaney (RIP). Tommy was a stalwart of our local community and will be missed by all who knew and came into contact with him over the years.

To Tommy’s daughter Dr Jane and husband Michael, such great club volunteers and supporters and grandchildren Beth, Emma and Tom we send our deepest sympathies.

Indeed we send our condolences to the entire family circle we extend our sympathy.
