Rathfriland Man Convicted Of Benefit Fraud

u2028Axa0man was convicted at Newry Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

David Cromie (43) of Drumlough School Road, Rathfriland claimed Employment Support Allowance totalling £2,579 while failing to declare employment. He was given a twelve month conditional discharge.

He is required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.

Suspected benefit fraud can be reported to the Department for Communities anonymously.
