Police Appeal after Newcastle Street Fracas

Police in Newcastle are investigating a disturbance in the Main Street area during the early hours of Tues 2 April. Shortly after 1.15am police were called to the disturbance involving approximately 50-80 youths. During the disturbance CS spray was used and two men aged 20 and 24 were arrested.  They were later released on bail pending further enquiries. The area returned to calm around 1.40am.
