Mr Eamonn McGrady of the Down Community health Committee has urged the people of the local area to attend this meeting because of the threats to health services and reductions in hours at the Downe Hospital A&E. He said: “This is a great opportunity for people of the district to express their thoughts and feelings to the health decision makers. The Down Community health Committee welcomes this event coming to Downpatrick and it is an opportunity for local people to discuss their health care services.
“It is important that people realise that they do have to register fro this event at the number above to ensure their attendance. We hope to see a very large crowd on the evening expressing their concerns about local health service delivery on issues such as the cuts to the Down A@E hours.”
