EA Offers Young People Opportunity to Attend One Young World Summit 2019
The Education Authority (EA) is giving 10 young people the chance to be involved in the upcoming One Young World Summit, which will take place in London in October 2019.
The One Young World Summit brings together young leaders from 190+ countries to participate in four days of speeches, panels, networking and workshops on accelerating social impact. Delegates will also have the opportunity to challenge world leaders, interact and be mentored by influencers.
Arlene Kee, Assistant Director of Children and Young People’s Services at the Education Authority, said;
“This is an exciting and unique opportunity for young people in Northern Ireland to learn from and engage with other young leaders from around the globe.
“On completion of the conference, the young people will become One Young World Ambassadors and will have the chance to participate in an ongoing programme of opportunities including caucuses, peer-to-peer mentoring, and speaking engagements.
“We would encourage any young person who has a passion for global issues and has a track record of making a significant impact in their local community to apply, to be in with a chance of taking part.”
Applicants must be aged between 18 and 25 years old and be available to attend the conference from 22 – 25 October 2019. Deadline for submissions is 4pm on Tuesday 30 April 2019.
