THE Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association has welcomed the £26 million Job creation package by OFMDFM and highlighted in particular £4 million for Enterprise Incubation Hubs in empty shops.
NIIRTA Chief Executive Glyn Roberts said: “These signature projects are very welcome and in particular the £4 million to establish Enterprise Incubation Hubs in empty shops. This is a creative and significant step in the right direction of tackling the ever growing problem of vacant and derelict shops”
“NIIRTA put forward a very similar proposal in our Town Centre First report of creating retail incubator units in vacant shops and we look forward to working with the OFMDFM on this issue”
