Newcastle’s Tesco Supports Homeless With Donation To Simon Community

The Tesco store in Newcastle recently made a generous hamper donation to the Simon Community, the charity which supports people in Northern Ireland who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Northern Ireland’s largest homeless charity, the Simon Community, provides housing for the homeless and advice for those at risk of becoming homeless. The charity facilitates those in need throughout Northern Ireland achieve a meaningful and independent place in their community.

Rachel Clarke, who recently joined the Tesco Newcastle as Store Manager after holding a number of positions throughout Tesco Northern Ireland said: “My colleagues and I are delighted to support the Simon Community and the great work they do for those at risk of homelessness across Northern Ireland.”

On receiving the hamper, Brian Shanks, Simon Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, said: “We greatly depend on fundraising and charity donations to fund the work we do.

“We would like to thank Rachel and her team at Tesco Newcastle for their charity hamper donation, which we will raffle off to raise much needed funds to assist us in providing vital resources for those in need”.
