ADVERTORIAL THE Patrician Youth Centre has launched its new programme of activities starting from Saturday 17th September. Afet a hugely successful summer programme with daily attendances in excess of 300 young people, the centre is gearing up for an equally busy Autumn term. Senior Youth Worker Yvonne Maquire said, “This year the Patrician celebrates 30 years of youth services in the Downpatrick area and a celebration night is planned in October to showcase the achievements and participation of the young people in our area. “The Patrician boasts a wide and varied programme spanning the age range from four to 25 covering sports, arts, the outdoors, training, travel and exchange and discos. “On Saturday 17th September the centre will host a UV Laser Light Disco for Year 8 and upwards and this stunning light display will provide an excellent start to the year ahead. “”So whether it’s performing on stage in front of hundreds, playing competitive football in our youth league, learning to play a new musical instrument, travelling to various parts of Europe or achieving recognition through our training courses, then the Patrician has it all on offer. With pool tables, air hockey, and a full IT suit you can also simply chill with your mates. “Open six nights a week and until midnight on Friday night, the Patrician is the place to be.”
