The upcoming Ards International Guitar Festival is part of the jam packed Ards Arts programme and this October the successful event reaches the milestone of 18 years old.
Chair of Ards Arts Committee, Alderman Girvan, said: “I am honoured to be elected as the Chairperson of Ards Arts Committee. I have always had a strong interest in the arts, especially music and the visual arts. As former Communications Manager for the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, I have a good understanding of the difficulties that the creative industries face and will do my best to support the arts which are of a very high standard throughout the Borough. As we move into a new era with North Down Council, I want to ensure that Ards arts continues to be well represented and funded.”
