He is believed to have suffered two epileptic fits while descending from of the summit of Slieve Donard towards the quarry and the granite trail overlooking Newcastle. A Police Helicopter was tasked to identify the exact location on the mountain. As the man was still close to the summit area the helicopter was able to land and lift the casualty off. The Mountain Rescue team subsequently set up a landing site in Donard Park and the casualty was handed over to the ambulance service for transfer to hospital.]]>
