McKevitt Congratulates Down Ladies On Semi-Final Victory Over Leitrim

South Down MLA Karen McKevitt (SDLP) has congratulated Down Senior Ladies GAA footballers on their victory over Leitrim in the All-Ireland intermediate semi-final.

Mrs McKevitt, who is also a member of the Assembly’s Culture, Arts and Leisure committee, said: “The Down ladies showed great resolve to come through to semi-final victory after extra time. I congratulate their players, management, and fans. “I am extremely proud of the ladies who have once again done the County proud. The whole county will be eagerly anticipating Down’s September 28 decider against Roscommon or Fermanagh. “It will be the ladies first final since 2005, when they beat Roscommon. I wish captain Kyla Trainor and her team all the best of luck in the All-Ireland Final.”]]>
