This year as part of August Craft Month tutor Naomi Whan is hosting a range of adult workshops each Saturday in August at Down Arts Centre in Downpatrick.
Naomi has worked at the Arts Centre for numerous years now and has great experience in delivering craft themed workshops. During August her workshops include sewing machine basics, glass painting, learning to crochet, creative cushion making, handmade felting and silk painting.
She said: “August Craft Month 2016 is the largest celebration of contemporary craft in Northern Ireland and Craft NI is proud to mark the 10th anniversary of their annual region-wide celebration of craft.
“In a time of austerity and funding cutbacks for the arts it is wonderful to see the rich and diverse programme of events on offer this year. It encompasses exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, talks, craft fairs and much, much more.”
Already proving popular, spaces for Naomi’s workshops are limited. To get involved and book into any of these workshops, phone 028 4461 0747 or visit:
