Strangford MP Jim Shannon said on addressing the EU referendum vote this coming Thursday, “This is my final opportunity to urge people to use their vote and to use it wisely by voting LEAVE in this election.
“The polls do not close until 10pm and there is ample opportunity for people to take a few minutes and have their voice heard on this vital issue. The Prime Minister promised us a whole host of special concessions for the United Kingdom: the cutting back of red tape, restriction of benefits to EU migrants, stronger terror laws and repatriation of British sovereignty. He may have tried but he most certainly has failed, and I can make a promise that I will follow through on.
“I will be voting to LEAVE the European Union and I sincerely urge at this late hour that the constituents of Strangford come out in strength to take back our sovereignty, to take back our voice and to stand on our own feet in cooperation with the EU and not in slavery to it. When all the rhetoric is said and done the issue is simple are we better off in or better out and in my opinion it is clear that this is an opportunity to become the Great Britain once again that history records we have been.”
