Put the kettle on and hold a ‘Big Christmas Cuppa’ for Autism NI this December!
Christmas is often a very stressful time for families living with Autism and there is no better time to raise awareness of this ‘hidden disability’.
Rachel Gribben from Autism NI said: “Taking part in the ‘Big Christmas Cuppa’ couldn’t be easier – celebrate the festive season with friends, and support a good cause whilst doing so. All you need to do to take part in this awareness raising event is hold a coffee morning or tea party at home, work or school. Invite your friends, family or work colleagues to join you for a cuppa and ask everyone to make a small donation to support Autism NI.
“We will help you along the way by providing you with a fundraising pack, which contains balloons, posters, Autism information and even a recipe.”
With over 30,000 people in Northern Ireland living with Autism and every year over 7,135 children being diagnosed, Autism has become the highest growing disability in Europe.
Autism NI needs your support so that it can continue to provide vital services to those families and individuals. All money raised will go towards helping the Autism community in Northern Ireland.
