Minister Hazzard will be speaking at the Annual Trans-European Transport Network Conference (Ten-T Days) and holding a series of meetings with senior EU representatives including Maltese Transport Minister Joe Mizzi.
Earlier today the Minister met with EU Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc and EU Vice President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.
Speaking following this morning’s meetings, Minister Hazzard said: “I am delighted to be attending this major transport conference. We must maximise every opportunity to grow and develop our economy internationally and this event is a unique platform to highlight key transport projects like the A5, A6, York Street Interchange and the Derry and Belfast Transport Hubs.
“This morning’s meetings with senior EU representatives have been very constructive and I will be having additional meetings with other key officials and stakeholders over the coming days. More than 2,000 delegates from across Europe are expected to attend this event and it is important we showcase what our region has to offer.”
