A popular event in County Down has been included in among the top events happening during September by the UK’s leading travel website.
Hillsborough Oyster Festival features in the ‘Where to go and what to do in September’ article on the
blog, along with the Great North Run and the St Leger Festival in Doncaster.
Jack Johnson, spokesperson for the TripAdvisor company, said that the Hillsborough Oyster Festival was included in the round-up for September because of the event’s huge reputation.
He said: “The Hillsborough Oyster Festival just had to make the list because it’s become one of the most popular summer events in the UK, not just Northern Ireland.
“There’s so much for people to see and do at the five-day event, it’s easy to see why it’s attracting visitors from far and wide.”
If you’re a homeowner in County Down, you could capitalise on the increased tourism interest by listing your home or spare room with the holiday rental giant.
“Thousands of other homeowners rent out their homes across the world to earn additional income.
“Listing with us is really simple and you won’t have to pay any upfront fees,” Jack explained.
