TUV South Down candidate Harold McKee upbeat for Assembly election
South Down TUV candidate Cllr Harold McKee is hopeful of good support in the coming NI Assembly election.
Cllr McKee said: “In this election as I have met many people and one of the issues which keeps coming up on the doorstep is the issue of trust.
“People feel let down and failed by the establishment parties. I believe I am best placed to stand unapologetically for South Down and represent the values of its people.
“People know where the TUV stand on the Protocol. While others were talking of the opportunities of the Protocol, voting for the regulations which were necessary for it to operate or even building the border posts as a DUP Minister did, TUV opposed it tooth and nail in Stormont and in the courts.
“Many in South Down are dismayed by the lack of opposition to the changes to abortion legislation. I’m pleased to be able to offer people absolute clarity on this issue – I always have been and always will be 100% pro-life.
“I am also the only Unionist candidate with experience as an MLA. I know the concerns of this area and am committed to delivering for our fishing fleet, our farmers who find themselves under attack from Stormont because of the Climate Change Bill and our controlled schools which have shamefully been discriminated against in recent legislation passed by Stormont.
“We in South Down know what it is like to have Irish language signs imposed where they are not welcome. In this election you can best register your opposition to this as a result of Irish Language legislation by voting McKee 1.
“Equally, a Sinn Fein First Minister is only possible with the help of Unionists – a stooge Unionist party to nominate a deputy. The TUV is clear that we will never empower Sinn Fein. What will others tell you?
“There are some who seem to believe that their party ‘owns’ the Unionist seat in South Down. I’m taking nothing for granted, but I believe I can win.
“Vote for strength and integrity. Vote McKee 1 and having done so transfer to other pro-Union anti-Protocol candidates,” said Cllr McKee.
