Funtastic Family Fun Day at Ballymote Centre for Sunday 29th October
The Halloween break will get off to a ‘fun-tastic’ start with a community Family Fun Day at the Ballymote Centre in Downpatrick.
It will be hosted by the South Eastern Regional College (SERC) in partnership with County Down Rural Community Network (CDRCN) and Downpatrick Neighbourhood Renewal Community Groups.
The event is on at the Ballymote Centre, Downpatrick,
11.00am – 2.00pm on Sunday 29 October.
Funded by the Department for Communities’ Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, the free to attend Family Fun Day will provide an opportunity for local families to come together for a fun day.
They can enjoy a range of activities including face painting, autumn-themed shortbread decorating, an inflatable obstacle course, and further entertainment from a DJ, a tattoo and graffiti artist.
Or they can slither on up close with the residents of a mobile reptile zoo, all before enjoying refreshments including candyfloss, popcorn and waffles.
Dearbhla Knight, Senior Innovation Advisor at SERC said: “This is a fantastic event for families in the local area to come together and enjoy everything a Family Fun Day has to offer – for all ages – right on your doorstep.”
Jenny Laverty, Community Development Officer, County Down Rural Community Network said: “There will also be a number of information stands for visitors.
“Here they can find out more about different groups, organisations and activities in the area including SERC’s ‘Be Your Own Boss‘, Downpatrick’s Women’s Group; Downpatrick Men’s Allotment Group and Men’s Shed and Pop-Up Art.”
There is no need to register, everyone welcome, just come along to the Family Fun Day running at the Ballymote Centre, 11.00am – 2.00pm on Sunday 29 October.
