The youth club committee would like to thank all the parents who donated so generously to the Christmas hamper writes Tony Bannon.
This Friday 12 December the youth club is holding its annual Christmas shopping trip for the members of the 2nd group who returned their permission slips. The minibus will leave from the clubrooms at 6pm and return at approximately 10pm. The cost of the trip is £1 per child. Please note that there will be no youth club for the 1st group that night, they will have their last session before Christmas on Friday 19th December at the usual time of 7pm until 8pm when they will make their reindeer food!
On Friday 19 December Catherine and Jen will be in the clubrooms from 7pm until 8pm with club merchandise. This will be a perfect opportunity to buy some last minute Christmas presents.
The Club held the Annual Bazaar in the Clubrooms on Sunday Afternoon. Our thanks to all who attended , bought tickets and supported the day. The Children were delighted that Santa took time out from his busy schedule to drop in for a quick visit. As a Club we rely very heavily on the generosity of our local community, businesses and volunteers and this year was no exception . We are very grateful, in these straitened times, that so many people donated prizes, cash and their time to visit houses, make up hampers, wrap presents, organise tombola, turn up to set up the event and help on the day with selling tickets, manning stalls and running the wheel. Because of all the effort put in a great day was had by all .
Congratulations to Ryan O’Hare from our neighbouring Club of Ballymartin on his Down All Star award .
The Club AGM will be held in the Clubrooms Monday 15 December at 8-00 pm. All members are encouraged to attend and if called upon to take on the responsible positions on the Committee to ensure that our Club goes from strength to strength both on and off the pitch . Ni Neart go Chur le Cheile . We will only only grow strong together.
