On Saturday morning some of the kids from the younger youth club group along with their leaders took part in the “Winter Woolly Walk” in aid of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund For Children writes Catherine Kelly. The leaders were proud of the kids who walked 5 miles to show their support for this very worthy cause. The youth group leaders would like to thank the parents who couldn’t take part in the walk but kindly gave a donation.
The leaders of Glasdrumman Youth Group want to say a big thank you to Simon and the staff in “Lick Gelato”, Newcastle who made them feel so welcome on Saturday when they visited for ice cream after completing the “Winter Woolly Walk”. The ice cream was delicious and a real treat for both the kids and adults! It was made all the more enjoyable because of the lovely, welcoming reception they received from Simon and all the staff in “Lick Gelato”. It was a perfect end to the day!
This week youth club continues at the usual times of 6.30pm until 7.45pm for the kids from the younger group and 8pm until 9.15pm for the older group. See you then!

Well done to Connaire Harrison who was in the starting line up for Down on Sunday in their game against Kerry. Although the final result wasn’t the one we were hoping for it was encouraging to see Connaire get on the score sheet with 2 points from free kicks.
