The residents of Exploris Aquarium and Seal Sanctuary are taking a well-earned break themselves this half-term while the facility is closed for refurbishment.
[caption id="attachment_42742" align="alignleft" width="300"] The Portaferry Exploris aquarium in Portaferry will be closed for a mid-term break but there is still plenty of activities to enjoy in the Ards.[/caption]Aquarist Tania Singleton explained how the fish and animals are benefitting from a little respite during the closure.
She said: “The fish and other inhabitants of Exploris are enjoying the peace and quiet at the moment.
“We have four seals in the seal sanctuary at the moment who we hope will be released into the wild soon and we continue as normal to care for the stock in the aquarium.”
Although Exploris remains closed there is still plenty to do this half-term in the Ards area.
