CAITRÍONA Ruane, South Down MLA has welcomed the visit by the East Border Region group to the site of the proposed Narrow Water Bridge.
Ms. Ruane said: “The East Border Region Group took the opportunity to visit the Narrow Water Bridge prior to the Annual General Meeting of the Group.
“The focus of this group is to explore ways in which we can work together for the benefit of the communities situated along the border corridor.
“The group is made up of political representatives from both sides of the border is encouraged with the prospect of the construction of the bridge and how it will help with the economic regeneration of the area.
It is important that we continue to work together to make sure we move the project on to the next level which is construction.”
