Ards and North Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) has joined with Belfast PCSP to tackle drug crime with a second run of the provocative campaign, ‘DRUG DEALERS DON’T CARE…DO YOU?’.
The hard hitting question puts the onus on members of the local community to help the police prevent drug crime by reporting drug related activity.
The campaign is on billboards, buses and taxis across Ards and North Down and greater Belfast, as well as on TV, radio and online. It targets all those affected by drug trafficking and drug use, especially parents, loved ones of users, concerned communities and actual user and dealers.
Chair of Ards and North Down PCSP, Councillor Trevor Cummings, is appealing to Ards and North Down resident to provide the police, via Crimestoppers, with the information that helps to remove illegal drugs from our streets. He said: “Any report that you make to Crimestoppers is completely anonymous, so you don’t need to feel worried about making a statement. Help keep our streets clear of drugs by reporting anything that you know, and show that unlike the dealers, you do care.”
