Funding is available to the voluntary and community sector through the Newry Mourne and Down District’s financial assistance programme. The programme opened yesterday 14th January.
Daniella McCarry, a community health development officer for the County Down Rural Community Network which is managing the admin for the programme, said: “There will a number of local workshops which has been organised to talk you through how to complete application form successfully.
“I am more than happy for you to forward me your attempt of the completed form which I will then work on. If you have any queries regarding the application, form feel free to get in touch. But I would seriously recommend attending the information workshops which will be extremely beneficial.
“You can apply for financial assistance towards the programme areas outlined below. And you can also submit more than one application as long as there is only one from each category below).”

The closing date: 4pm Friday 15Â February 2019.
“Completed applications must be returned to either the Council reception at Newry Mourne and Down District Council, O’Hagan House, Monaghan Row, Newry, or to the Downshire Civic Centre in Downpatrick.
“Late applications will not be considered.”
