Adult Carers Celebrate end of Creative Pottery Programme
Adult carers from Downpatrick, Rowallane and Slieve Croob DEA’s were invited along to te Fired restaurant in Kilough for a celebratory event on Thursday 27 October.
The event, which was attended by Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Cllr Michael Savage, was organised to mark the end of a series of creative pottery sessions with Preaching House Pottery, which the carers had participated in.
The sessions were organised by the DEAs in partnership with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.
Adult carers were provided with an opportunity to have some time away from their caring role, engage with others, decompress and enjoy the satisfaction of producing a keepsake piece of pottery.
