Ballynahinch RFC Notes For 6 April 2016

 

There were two matches played on Saturday at Ballymacarn Park – Hinch 5’s v Armagh 3’s and Hinch Evergreens v Bangor 3’s.

Hitch 2’s had a rest weekend, as Malone 2’s postponed their match due to the McCrea Cup Final, but training continued ahead of the final matches in their respective leagues.

dn_screenBallynahinch 3’s played a ‘boosted’ Instonians 2’s at Shaw’s Bridge and beat the Belfast team 10-3 to continue their charge towards league success to follow on from their recent Crawford Cup honours.

Hitch 5’s took on Armagh 3’s at Ballymacarn and bested the Orchard County team by 39-0.

Hitch 4’s + 6’s had a rest week and the Evergreens took on a much promoted Bangor 3’s (the Gryphons) and sent the young North Down Team home with a loss of 18-0.

Hinch Ladies hope to mirror their League success by retaining the ’Rejenerate’ Development Cup on Sunday.

Ballynahinch RFC is now running a fundraising Lotto. There was no main prize winner, the 1st Prize rolls over again and is now £3,150 (increasing by £50 if not won). Ballynahinch RFC has launched a car draw with some fantastic extra prizes and some earlybird draws also taking place. Details are on the Club Facebook page and the fundraising is to support to major grant funded projects that the Club hope to deliver over the next few months to enhance the facilities.

The next and final home All Ireland match takes place on Saturday 16 April and sees Ballynahinch 1st XV host Garryowen RFC in the Ulster Bank All Ireland League and a pre-match meal will be held and places are now full, but those who cannot make the lunch are asked to come along and support this vital final All Ireland match. The match will be followed by the draw for the Car prize, the Players’ Awards night along with a ‘Pig on a Spit’, so make sure that you have booked now to have a cracking day at the Club to see the Season out!!
