Kellie Armstrong MLA Assumes Role as Chair of the Committee on Procedures in the Northern Ireland Assembly

Kellie Armstrong, Alliance Strangford Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), has officially taken on the important role of Chair of the Committee on Procedures in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The Committee on Procedures plays a vital role in the Northern Ireland Assembly, tasked with the continuous review and evaluation of the Assembly’s Standing Orders and procedures.

Through meticulous examination and thoughtful deliberation, the committee ensures that the legislative processes remain efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people of Northern Ireland.

“With Kellie’s extensive experience and profound understanding of legislative procedures, this appointment marks a significant milestone.

Strangford MLA Kellie Armstrong has taken on the important role of Chairperson of the Committee on Procedures at the NI Assembly.

“Kellie Armstrong MLA brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, having demonstrated exceptional leadership and insight throughout her tenure in the Assembly.

“And this includes the detailed work she brought through her delivery of her successful private member’s legislation, the Integrated Education Act.

“The Act is recognised as an example of an intricate and exemplary piece of legislation to be delivered by an individual MLA.
