Seasonal musical melodies from local group, the McDowell Trio, Mezzo Soprano, Jenny Johnston, Clarinettist, Emily Crutchley and renowned choir Cantiunculae, will put you in the Christmas mood at a special concert taking place at Bangor Town Hall on Thursday 3 December (2015) in aid of the Mayor’s charities: The Boom Foundation and The Royal Airforce (RAF). The stunning Council chamber with its high ceiling, antique wooden panelling and stained glass windows provides the perfect setting for a night of classical Christmas favourites. A seasonal supper of mince pies and mulled wine will also be served. Speaking about the upcoming event, Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Alan Graham, said: “I am delighted to be hosting a Christmas concert to fundraise for my chosen charities. They are both causes that are close to my heart and significant for us as a borough. The Boom foundation supports sarcoma patients, the illness that Bangor schoolboy Joshua Martin recently won his battle against. The RAF provides welfare support to serving and former personnel and their families.” The concert takes place on Thursday 3 December at 7.30pm in the Council chamber, Town Hall, The Castle, Bangor.
Tickets cost £10. For more information or to purchase a ticket contact the Mayor’s office on 028 9127 8067.
