The Crotlieve District Electoral Area (DEA) forum in partnership with County Down Rural Community Network is delighted to welcome the Action Cancer bus to four locations across the Crotlieve DEA over the next six months.
Crotlieve DEA forum Chairperson, Councillor Mickey Ruane said, “During our consultations with the local Crotlieve Community, our health and in particular the growing number of cancer cases continued to be mentioned. By bringing the Action Cancer bus to the local community, we are undertaking practical assistance which will see an additional 96 breast screenings and 52 health checks over the next six months”.
Councillor Ruane added: “I would like to thank County Down Rural Community Network for assisting the forum and also the local community representatives for supporting this initiative.”
The visits will take place from June 2017 to December 2017 starting in Warrenpoint Square on 30 June 2017, Rostrevor Square on 18 August 2017, Ballyholland Community Centre on 21 October 2017 and Mayobridge Community Centre on 9 December 2017.
