Still Time to Have Your say on the Planned 15-acre Albert Basin City Park in Newry.
Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Laura Devlin, is encouraging residents to take part in an online public consultation to help inform initial concept proposals for the planned 15-acre Albert Basin City Park in Newry.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, feedback can now be provided virtually through one of the Council’s online workshops (delivered via zoom) running from Monday 22June to Thursday 2 July, or by completing the online survey which will be open until 12 noon, Friday 17 July.
Book in for one of the online workshops or provide feedback by completing the online survey HERE.
Commenting on this new online approach for the Albert Basin consultation, Cllr Devlin said: “We are really pleased to keep this project moving at pace in light of the COVID-19 health emergency by offering people the chance to provide their feedback online in the comfort of their own home.
“We really hope by opening these channels online it will give even more people in this district the opportunity to have their say.
“There has been a lot of interest in this public consultation to date, with more than half of the online workshops spaces already filled.
“If you want to get involved, I would encourage you to book in for our online workshops as soon as possible or fill out our handy online survey which should take just 10 minutes to complete.
“We are keen to gather up as much feedback as possible to ensure that initial concept proposals incorporate the needs of the people in our district. We want to be in a position to move forward with a plan for a city park we can all be proud of.”
