Police Appeal After Newry Burglaries On Wednesday

Police appeal for information about two Newry burglaries this Wednesday

Detectives are appealing for information following two reports of burglaries in Newry on Wednesday 20th November.

Detective Sergeant Johnston said: “Officers received a report of a burglary in the Carnagh Park area, sometime between 4.30pm and 7pm, when the residents were not present.

“An unknown person forced entry into a window at the rear of the property, the house was rummaged through, with a number of items taken.

“The second report of burglary in the Chapel Street area, occurred between 11pm and 7pm, when the resident returned home to find the house had been ransacked with a number of items taken.

“At this stage, we are treating these incidents as linked and are appealing to anyone who may have been in the areas at the time, or who may have dashcam or other footage to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1434 20/11/24.”
