Legends Win Lecale Pool League Charity Shield

The CM Precision Lecale Pool League held the final of the Charity Shield on Friday evening in support of the Tinylife charity.

The SOS A team faced off the Heights Legends at the Heights Bar for this final, the event kindly hosted and sponsored by Michael Keenan of The Heights.

Ardglass Legends raced to a 4-0 lead in the 15 game challenge and it was looking very difficult for the SOS A team to pull back and steal a victory in the circumstances.

But Ryan Sharvin and Nick O’Connor stormed back for the SOS A making it game on with a great recovery.

The Heights clawed back into the SOS A team with another win with Patrick Teggert playing on top form.

Chris Feenan, CM Lecale League Chairman said: “But as the game neared its final conclusion, it was Barry Kearney and and Mark Smyth who drove in the final coffin nails to win.

“It was nevertheless a tightly fought contest, the scoreline not reflecting the equal level of excellent play by both sides.

“Next on is the League with three games coming up then the League Cup followed by the individual rounds which the players really enjoy as they get Stars in their Eyes.

“The CM Precision League is now livening up as the season progresses and as the newest pool league in Northern Ireland we are certainly doing very well. The league has received a number of key sponsorships from local businesses and for that we are very grateful to our sponsors.”
