The Downpatrick Chamber of Commerce has had a busy year and is continuing into an autumn season.
Gavin Rogers of JJ Donnelly Menswear in the town said: “We are planning to hold the next meeting on Wednesday 24 September at 5.30pm at the St Patrick’s Centre. If anyone new is interested in coming along and getting involved in one of the committees/working groups, please message us with your name, company details and e-mail address and we will send you on agenda/meeting details. We are keen to include as many businesses as possible.
“We have had a successful first summer entertainment programme and need to build on this. As businesses we have also had to endure a lot of disruption over the summer in terms of roads works in the town centre. This is an example of why it is important to have a strong voice representing local businesses and why it is necessary for people to get involved and give a little time for the greater good. If you want to see improvements in the town and to have a say in issues that may affect you, your town and your business then join the Chamber and work together for the benefit of all.
“We hope to see you all there. Many hands make light work”.
